Byrd, a descendant of the slave Edward"Ned" Titus who was brought to Freestone county in the year 1852.There are six generations of quilt makers in the Titus Family lineage.

Christina Kim work was just honored, when she was commissioned by First Lady, Michelle Obama to make a gift for the First Lady of South Korea Christina and her team at Dosa created a shawl with two sides, one inspired by Korean patchwork and the other, an example of American improvisational quilting by Laverne Brackens -- two handmade traditions that represent the coming together of two peoples and two cultures.
